Tell me more about your school. In the past I have had student select a piece of children'e literature and then plan a learning activity with it. The activities use materials that the students can use over and over, so they are not just a one time event. Right now I have several games/activities that the students have made that are for beginning reading and math skills. My students only speak English, so their projects would be in English.
Past activities they have created include: counting, addition, subtraction, easy english vocabulary skills, sequencing skills. Would they be appropriate for your school? If you tell me what would be most helpful, then my students could gear their projects towards the needs of the students in your school. I know when we were in Kenya we were told that everyone learns English in school, is that correct?
I look forward to hearing from you,
Linda
