Travelling abroad

Volunteering/mentoring

And of course teaching!
If you have done work internationally, where and in what capacity?
I have done some volunteer work in native communities in Alaska and Hawaii, and humanitarian work in Costa Rica. I was a Tour Leader with Westcoast Connection, a Montreal-based company which offers organized trips to North American teenagers.
If you are willing to volunteer, in what area(s):
digital media, internships, technology support, translation
How did you hear about us and a few words why you want to join EBB:
I heard about TWB-Canada through the TWB website (I hadn't thought of looking for the Canadian branch). I joined TWB to become more aware of their mission and because of an interest to eventually go abroad, once I have more teaching experience, to apply my knowledge and competencies in a different setting.

Hey Nicolas,

We teach similar subject. I also teach Science at the high school level Toronto, Ontario. I am interested to know if you still do any humanitarian work in Costa Rica. Have you thought about involving your students in these projects? Maybe you already have?

Of course I know College Charlemagne! I live in the West Island, but teach in Westmount at The Study. Yes, please be sure to consider applying for our summer '11 teams! We have increased in size from our teams last year and have ongoing requests for more more more workshops to facilitate in Africa. Great to hear your interests! I need to blog a lot more - much is happening and I am getting crazy busy with teaching full time, having a very active online life and planning the ICT team visits to South Africa and Kenya this summer. Need to find that quiet time to sit down and reflect on it all.... Let's keep in touch! Do you blog?

Hi Nicolas! Welcome to TWB-Canada! I am also an ICT-ish teacher in the Montreal area. Where are you currently teaching? I teach at one of the private schools. Hope to see you keeping active on our site!
