Subject area expertise
My subject area expertise is physics and chemistry. However, I have taught most science subjects from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (called Senior 4 in Manitoba). I have also taught various math courses and some subjects outside the area of science such as English and Social Studies. My post graduate work in education was in Educational Psychology, and I am presently doing some teaching in that area at the University of Manitoba.

Skills & Interests
I have a strong interest in working with science teachers at this point in my career. I am working in various public and private schools now in developing science programs with teachers in their classrooms. I also speak French and therefore work with teachers who instruct in French.
If you have done work internationally, where and in what capacity?
I have my own project in El Salvador mainly in a poor village. I am project coordinator. I take high school students to the village during the school spring break and adult groups in the summer. his project started in 2003 and is expanding year after year.

It was the last day of workshops at Utumishi Academy in the Naivasha district and one of our Kenyan facilitators sat in front of me with tears welling up in his eyes. This was a teacher who was part of the workshops last year, and this year worked with us, teachers from North America, as a facilitator. He is an excellent teacher and a valuable member of the team. It would be difficult for us to go our separate ways.
