The use of ICT in Professional Networking : Training of teachers commences in Nigeria with Lagos Center

It is now an established fact that without the use of ICT, teaching and learning may be hindered and learning outcome will  suffer serious limitation, hence British Council and UK aid has come up with this project of training teachers on the use if ICT for professional networking and adding international dimension to teaching and learning.

Lagos center in Nigeria trained School Principals and teachers between 5th-7th March 2013 on various content with the use of ICT in delivery of teaching and learning outcomes, during the period, 31 teachers and 31 School heads were taken through the workshop.

Some of the content they were exposed to are:

Global Citizenship, web Content, how to develop personal web page, exploring various professional site and how they can surf he Net. Also they were made to go through E-Safety on line.

In fact, it was a great moment for all the participants.

............more to come.

This is a good development and with the support of the government this will go a long way in improving the skills and knowledge of the teachers.
