Kenya - East African Conference
Utumishi Academy hosted our facilitators from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to collaborate in workshops on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), Information and Digital/Media Literacy, Competency-based Education, and other topics that addressed some of the challenges educators are seeing in schools around the world today (see photos here). The conference has re-energized our EBB Chapters in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and each have been planning and delivering various workshops to their local teachers (see photos here). We have also initiated a video series interacting with our East African colleagues to share their strategies for implementing SEL into their classrooms.
