Miririni and Nkoasenga Secondary Schools

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012

Nkoasenga Secondary School is led by the vibrant Fides Shirima. Shirima was the only school head who attended the principal’s meeting plus all three days of workshops. Shirima’s laugh is infectious but it’s her dedication to her students and school that’s…

First Day of Workshops in Leguruki, Tanzania, 2012

Monday, July 16th

Teachers were from the five secondary schools in the ward: Shiston, Leguruki, Maruvango, Mirini and Nkoasenga. The morning started with questions that would guide the discussions for our week. Groups were…

Dear teacher,

Young learners eagerly tend to thrive

Into a foreign language they need to dive

They are naturally zealous, curious, energetic, and alive

And sometimes are hyper and loud as if in a beehive

You should scaffold them all along the drive,

Provide them with adequate tools to survive

And consider the…
